ALDI Food Distribution Facility — Springfield, Ohio
A M King provided a 63,000 square foot freezer expansion and a 60,000 square foot dry warehouse expansion to this existing 400,000 square foot facility. The existing 30,000 square foot freezer space was renovated and converted to a new produce and meat cooler, the existing dock cooler was expanded, and the existing refrigeration system was expanded and fully upgraded. The existing dry warehouse was renovated, including receiving new lighting, new finishes and newly expanded break room areas. A M King also added 3,000 square feet of new office, and converted the existing 14,000 square foot office space to Class A office space consisting of granite and tile floors, level 5 drywall finishes, and an upgraded HVAC system with individual office controls and all new HVAC equipment. Approximately 30% of the site paving was replaced, and utility systems were upgraded to accommodate the building expansion. The entire project was completed without any disruptions to the ongoing operations of the facility. The total project duration was 11 months.
