GE Gas Turbines — Greenville, SC
A M King Construction provided a 50,000 SF addition to the existing warehouse at the 1,700,000 SF manufacturing facility of gas turbines, aircraft engine parts, and wind power generators. The 36 foot tall structure consisted of joists and joist girders with metal siding insulated and lined. There is a four foot brick wainscot at the building perimeter. The building has ESFR fire protection and was built to FM standards. The space utilized energy efficient roof top units and GE T-5 light fixtures. The project team was asked to maintain a presence on site to provide capital project work for the main facility.
