Photovoltaic (Solar) Panel Installation | South Windsor, CT
A M King Construction managed the installation of approximately 70,000sf of photovoltaic (solar), roof top panels as part of the Connecticut State Energy Incentive program. The addition of these energy efficient panels has provided ALDI with significant tax credits equaling half the system cost as well as the benefits of maintaining energy savings in the future.
The original building, built in 1974, was selectively demolished down to the bare structural steel system. The incorporation of energy efficient lighting, plumbing and mechanical systems, along with the use of local masonry units and energy efficient glazing as the exterior skin, provided the rejuvenated building with the LEED Certification of Silver.
