NE Foods ground breaking Clayton, NC

A M King broke ground July 2010 for the Northeast Foods project located in Clayton, NC. B Roberts, Charlotte, NC A M King has begun construction on the 80,000 square foot facility for B Roberts which will feature a 42,000 square foot food preparation area for sauces, salads, side dishes and ready-to-eat entrees.  The entire food preparation area will be cooled to a temperature of 45 degree Fahrenheit utilizing a new Freon refrigeration system.  The space will also consist of dry and liquid ingredient storage areas, four blast freezers, and multiple coolers at varying temperatures that range from minus -10 degrees Fahrenheit to 35 degree Fahrenheit for the storage of finished goods as well as temperature sensitive ingredients.  This facility will also consist of a quality assurance lab, USDA inspections office, shipping and receiving docks, administrative offices and employee welfare and amenity areas. B Roberts is a Charlotte based company which prepares and packages ready-to-eat products for the grocery industry.
Batavia, IL Expansion Rendering A M King has begun construction for ALDI's Corporate Office in Batavia, IL. The project consists of a new 6-story building which will include 81,500 square feet of Class A office space, conference rooms, training facilities and supplier meeting rooms.  The expansion will connect to an existing 5-story Corporate Purchasing Building completed by A M King in 2005.  Interior finishes will include granite flooring and stairs, ceramic tile, vinyl wall covering and carpet.  The exterior skin will consist of architectural precast panels and an aluminum window system to match the existing facility.  In addition to the office expansion, a new concrete parking lot will be built to accommodate sixty-five (65) employee parking spaces.  Site work includes construction of a block retaining wall, utility relocation and the enlarging of an existing storm detention area.
